Mr. Smith is an assistant principal and the activities director at Ralston High School.  As assistant principal, Mr. Smith has specific duties related to student learning and also conducts evaluations of teachers.  As activities director, he oversees all aspects of athletics, clubs, performing arts, and all other extra-curricular activities.  

Mr. Smith joined the high school staff in 2001 as a social science teacher and also coached various sports.   After teaching and coaching for nine years he was assigned the additional duty of dean of students where his responsibilities included student discipline and attendance.   In 2011 he applied for and was offered his current position of assistant principal and activities director.

Mr. Smith enjoys the variety of challenges that educational leadership provides.  He knows Ralston is a great place to work with great kids and enjoys being a part of a team that is constantly finding ways to improve the education RPS provides.  In addition, Mr. Smith understands the importance of activities and having the best programs possible for our students to enjoy.
