Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Michelle Caples
Welcome to my website! I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated with a bachelor's degree in social work with a specialization in child welfare and a master's degree in social work with a specialization in school social work from U.N.O. I worked as a social worker for seven years before realizing that I really wanted to be a teacher. I received my teaching certificate from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. I have been teaching in Ralston since 1999. I have taught 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. I have been teaching 1st grade since 2008. I am married and have two daughters. I have two dogs and I love animals! I love to spend time with my girls, read, listen to music, and watch movies.
I can't wait to be your child's teacher!

Welcome to Mrs. Caples' First Grade Class!
Welcome to first grade! This is such an exciting time for your child. They will be learning to read, write, spell, do math, and will also be learning our three school rules: be safe, be respectful, and be responsible.
Thank you for entrusting your most precious gift to me throughout the day...your child. I will do my very best to ensure that your child is in a safe and nurturing environment where he/she is able to learn and grow.
