    RHS students competed at the DECA State Career Development Conference in Lincoln March 15th.  The results:

    Megan McAleer - 2nd place in Human Resource management (1 point away from 1st!)

    Peyton Knott - 3rd in Business Financial Services

  • FCCLA and Show Choir

    Three RHS teams competed at the MCC ICA High School Invitational on Friday February 22md.  One RHS team received a silver award and took 3rd place overall!  Members included Rita Homan, Andrew Pries, and Keanu Ellefson; they had an Aisan inspired menu with srping rolls in a peanut sauce, chicken and beef stir fry over noodles, and Khanom Chan (a Thai coconut layered in gleatin desert).

    RHS students will also be competing at the State Leadership Conference and the Culinary Arts STAR event in Lincoln.

    The RHS show choir held their final concert last night in the RHS theatre.  The placed was packed with all 600 seats filled and people standing along the sides.  This was a celebration of another great season and a tribute to the graduating seniors.

  • Spring Sports

    Spring sports season is underway.  Teams have been limited to practices in the gym at RHS until the weather clears up.

    Spring sports incudes baseball, soccer, track and field, tennis and boys golf.  

    Dont forget the district vocal concert in the gym at RHS this Tuesday March 5th at 7 pm.

    The instrumental concert is March 12th at 7 pm also in the gym at the high school.

  • Show Choir

    Ralston High School competed at the Lewis Central Show Choir Compeititon this past Saturday.

    Runway earned a fouth place finish and Rush placed third!

    The team competes this next Saturday at Westwood High School in Sloan IA.  and will have their final performance in the  RHS theatre on March 11th at 7 pm.

  • Omaha History Day

    On 2/27 RHS had several students compete at the Durham Museum for Omaha History Day.  The following students qualified for the state competition on which takes place on April 6th:

    Tyler Richardson:  1st place in the individual website category

    Grace Belter:  3rd place in the individual website category

    Kylee Matousek, Eli Smith, and Dylan Lewis:  1st place in group website category

    Caitlyn Main and Cord Benesch: 4th place in the group documentary category.

  • Winter Sports

    The girls basketball team played hard but lost in the first round of sub-districts to Gross.  The girls season is now over.

    The boys basketball team led the entire game but then lost in the last two minutes to a good Elkhorn team.  The boys were then defeated last Thursday by Bennington.  The Rams play Skutt Monday (tonight) in the first round of sub-districts.  The varsity only contest starts at 6:30 pm

    Ralston sent six wrestlers to the state tournament this past weekend and Gabe James finished with a fourth place medal and David Hernandez earned the 6th place medal!  Every wrestler that Ralston sent won at least one match and all return next year with the exception of Gabe James.  

    The swim and dive team will send kids to state this coming weekend.  Dive will take place Thursday and swimmers will compete Friday and Saturday.  

    Show Coir competed at Omaha South Saturday; Rush was close but failed to make finals.

  • The Latest

    Girls basketball lost to Schuyler and Roncalli this past week in two tough fought games.  The girls will travel to Gross for sub-districts on Monday 2/11 at 530 pm.

    The boys basketball team lost to SSC and defeated Schuyler this past week and will play Elkhorn at home on Tuesday 2/12 with jv starting at 545 and varsity at 730.

    The boys swim and dive team are RCC champions once again.  The boys have been champions 21 of the last 22 years!  Both the boys and girls team will send multiple athletes to the state meet!

    The wrestling team competed at districts this past weekend and will have six wrestlers at the state meet!  Athletes going to state are Noah Talmadge, Caden Cocoran, Miauel James, Gabe James, David Hernandez, and Mikey Mass.  

    Two members of the speech team traveled to SSC for RCC and Kylee Matousek finished 5th in the poetry division.

    Both the girls and boys basketball teams lost to Waverly last Tuesday.  The boys were also defeated by Roncalli on Friday night.

    The wrestling team defeated Elkhorn in a dual this past Friday by the score of 51 to 24.

    The swim and dive team competed against Brownell-Talbot on Tuesday and both the girls and boys won, both teams lost to Westside on Thursday at home.  Senior athletes were honored at the Westside dual.

    Show Choir travelled to Lincoln Southwest this past Saturday where all three teams competed.  

    The Ralston Debate team hosted their big invite this past Saturday as well and the event was a big success.

  • Activities Last Week

    The girls basketball team lost to Beatrice on Saturday 1/26.  On the same day the boys avenged an earlier lost to Beatrice by defeating the Orangmen 57 to 41.  Both the boys and girls team will play again on Tuesday 1/29 at home vs Waverly.

    The wreslters competed in the Roncalli Invite on 1/26.  Ralston medaled 5 wrestlers and Gabe James was a champion at 160!  The team will compete in a dual vs Elkhorn on Friday 2/1 at Elkhorn. 

    The swim and dive team compted against SSC this past Thursday, 1/24, and both the girls and boys won the dual and the RHS teams recorded 18 personal best times during the event! 

    Cheer and dance competed at the Midland University competition this weekend. Cheer took home 4th in Class B Non-Tumbling and Dance took home 3rd in Class B Pom. They are preparing for state next which is on February 15th in Grand Island.

  • Winter Updates

    The boys basketball team played Beatrice this past Saturday in the RCC tourney and lost.  Chaz Callum scored 22 points in the loss.

    The girls team battled Mercy into the fourth quarter but came up short and lost 53 to 48.  This was a regular season game on Monday.

    In spite of the weather, Ramageddon took place this past Saturday and all invited schools were able to attend.  The event was another success thanks to the show choir sponsors, parents, show choir members and volunteers.  

    The wrestling team went to Plattsmouth this past Saturday and Ralston medaled four wrestlers.  Gabriel James was a Champion at 160!

    RHS was a busy place this past Saturday with Ramageddon, two freshman basketball games, and a large dive invitational.  In addition both basketball teams played away games and our wrestlers went to Plattsmouth.  GO RAMS!
