  • Girls Basketball

    The girls basketball team defeated Omaha South this past Saturday 1/4 at South by a score of 45 to 34.  E. Stewart led Ralston with 16 points.  Alex Johnson and Natalya Wells each had 12.  The girls are now 4 and 5.  

    The girls lost to Skutt yesterday 1/9 by a score of 65 to 47.  The girls were down 36 to 13 at half but rallied to score 34 in the second half to make the game compeitive.  E. Stewart led the team with 16 pts and N Wells contributed 13.

  • Swim and Dive

    The Ralston/Gross swim and dive team defeated Skutt yesterday 1/9.  The girls won by a score of 104 to 80 and the boys won 119 to 72.  76% of our swimmers had their best time of the year!  GO RAMS.  The team will compete at Elkhorn this weekend.

  • Holiday Tournament

    The boys basketball team traveled to Nebraska City for a two day Holiday Basketball Tournament on 12/27 and 12/28.  The first game was sluggish but the Rams prevailed by a score of 52 to 44 over a pesky Louisville team.  Drew Anderson and Jeff Evans led the Rams with 12 pts each and Chaz Callum added 11.  Luke Ranck had 5 rebounds and Evans disched out 5 assists.  

    In the championship game vs Ne City the Rams found themselves down at half 37-29.  But a lot more energy and a 55 point second half resulted in a 84 to 68 victory.  Chaz Callum led RHS with 24 and Drew Anderson added 22.  Callum had 8 rebounds and 5 assists to go with his 24 points.  Luke Ranck pullled down 6 rebounds as well.

    The boys play Thursday January 9th at home vs Skutt.  Game times are 545 pm for JV and varsity to follow.

  • Larry Hill Relays

    The boys and girls swim and dive teams competed at our own relay meet on 12/14.  The boys finished 6th out of 12 teams scoring 168.

    Ralston/Gross:  4th in 200 yard Fly relay (Kolbo, Greiner, Gilmore, Campbell) 2nd in 400 free relay (Cote, Gilmore, Campbell, Kolbo) 3rd in 200 breast relay (Parker Siedlik, Cote, Kelsey, Greiner) 4th in 400 medley relay (Campbell, Kolbo, Greiner, Gilmore)

    The girls team scored 62 and made and keep getting better with each outing.

  • Swim and Dive

    Here is an update on the swim and dive season as of the holiday break.  Ralston coops with our friends from Gross in Swim and Dive.  

    Beatrice came to RHS for a dual on 12/12 and here are the winners for RHS/Gross:

    Boys 200 medley relay (Tristin Campbell, Louis Gilmore, Alec Kelsey, Jaxon Holler), James Kolbo in the 200 free, Louis Gilmore in the 200 IM, Jaxon Holler in the 50 free, Dane Lavicky in 1mtr diving, Kolbo in the 100 Fly, Aiden Cote in the 100 free, Braden Philippi in the 500 free, Boys 200 Free relay (Gilmore, Kolbo, Campbell, Holler), Tyler Evans 100 Back, Gilmore 100 breast, Boys 400 free relay (Philippi, Evans, Kale Houston, Cote)

    Angelina Orent 100 breaststroke, girls 400 free (Alissa Wagner, Orent, Erin Ruane, Lili Spady)

    The boys defeated Beatrice 149 to 53, the girls lost 166 to 35

    The boys also defeated Lewis Central 98 to 72 on 12/17

  • Wrestlers Go to the Nebraska Duals!

    The RHS wrestling team traveled to Columbus for the two day Nebraska Duals Meet on 12/13 and 12/14.  

    Columbus Lakeview defeated the Rams 51 to 24.  Winners for RHS were Jeremy McKee, Caden Corcoran, Noah Talmadge, and Miguel James.

    O'Niell defeated Ralston 43 to 42.  Winners for the Rams were Talmadge, James, Brandon Cavendar, David Hernandez, Gage Monroe, McKee, and Corcoran.

    David City defeated the Rams 51 to 22.  Winners for RHS were Corcoran, James, McKee, and Bradyn Anaya.

    The Rams defeated Shelby/Rising City 54-24.  Winners were Gage Monroe, Jeremy Mckee, Bradyn Anaya, Caden Corcoran, Noah Talmadge, Miguel (Sam) James, and Devin Boetel.

    Ralston defeated High Plains 58 to 12.  Ralston winners were Talmadge, James, Cavendar, Cameron Hilton, Hernandez, Monroe, McKee, Anaya, Corcoran, Molgaard.

    Columbus defeated the Rams 69 to 13.  Ralsotn winners were Hernandez, McKee, and Talmadge

    The Rams lost on criteria to Blue Valley West 43 to 42.  Winners were McKee, Corcoran, Anaya, Molgaard, James, Jackson Corry, and David Hernandez.

    RHS then defeated Columbus Scotus 54 to 30.  Winners for RHS were Monroe, McKee, Anaya, Corcoran, James, Corry, Brandon Cavendar, and Hilton

    The Rams lost to Twin River 54 to 27.  Winners were McKee, Corcoran, James, Boetel, and Hernandez.

    Ralston placed three wrestlers on the All Tournament Team!

  • More Wrestling!

    The wrestling team traveled to Bryan to compete against Bryan and Platteview on 12/17.   Ralston lost both duals (51 to 22 vs Bryan and 43 to 35 vs Platteview).  Winners vs Bryan included Caden Corcoran, Noah Talmadge, Miguel James, Aaron Fowler, and David Hernandez.  Winners vs Platteview were Corcoran, Owen Mogaard, Talmadge, Fowler, Hernandez, and Jeremy McKee.

    Ralston High School hosted its Jim McGrath wreslting invitational on 12/20.  RHS placed 5th out of 9 teams.  Individuals who placed:

    Gage Monroe 4th at 106, Bradyn Anaya 2nd ar 113, Jeremy McKee 3rd at 120, Caden Corcoran 3rd at 132, Noah Talmadge 1st at 145, Miguel James 2nd at 152, Aaron Fowler 4th at 195, David Hernandez 3rd at 285.

  • Girls Basketball Update

    Here is an update for Girls Basketball through 12/26.  The girls started the season playing highly ranked York on 12/7.  The girls were down just two at half and ended up losing 62 to 48.  E'sanjia Stewart poured in 15 points and Alex Johnson added 10.  Carmen Dudley pulled down 6 rebounds and Johnson added 5.

    The girls then took on Blair on 12/7 losing 51 to 34.  Natayla Wells and E Stewart led the Rams with 9 points each.  Wells also grabbed 9 rebounds and Carmen Dudley added 4 assists.  

    The girls then traveled to Duchesne on 12/14 and came away with a victory by the score of 54 to 48.  E Stewart had 20 points and Alex Johnson added 11.  C Dudley had 5 rebounds and N Wells had 5.  This hard earned victory was the first win for girls in over a year!  GO RAMS!

    Lexington visited RHS on 12/17 and the girls won there second game in a row defeating the Minutemen 51 to 49!  The girls took their first lead late in the game and made some great plays down the stretch to preserve the victory.  Natayla Wells had the best game of her career as she scored 24.  E Stewart added 17 and also had 8 rebounds and 3 assists.  What a great night for girls basketball!

    The girls team then took on a powerful Bennington team losing 78 to 34. Bennington was 14 of 26 from three point range.  The girls will travel to Nebraska City on 12/27 to take on the Louisville girls in the holiday tournament.  Game time is 330 pm.

  • Boys Basketball

    Here is an update on the boys season as of 12/26.  The boys defeated York on 12/5 to start the season at RHS 63 to 53.  Chaz Callum started the game with a steal and monster dunk and led the team with 20 points.  Drew Anderson and Jeff Evans had 10 pts each.  Joey McEvoy grabbed 5 rebounds as did Drew Anderson.  Roy Buettenback had 6 assists.

    The boys took on Blair two days later and won again 59 to 50.  Ralston had balanced scoring as Chaz Callum and Drew Anderson had 13 pts. each and Luke Ranck and Roy Buettenback added 11 each.  Luke also had 7n rebounds to lead the Rams.  Jeff Evans dished out 5 assists.  

    Ralston then took on a very talented Hastings team.  The game was close through 3 quarters and then Hastings pulled away for a 65 to 51 win.  Ralston had a tough time from the 3 point range going 2 for 22.  Joey McEvoy scored 18 points and had 3 assists.  Drew Anderson had 15 and Luke Ranck 12.  Roy Buettenback pulled down 7 rebounds to lead RHS.  

    Ralston traveled to Mt Michael to take on a highly ranked team.  It was a tale of two halves as the Rams looked like a state tourney team in the first half leading 37 to 32 at half.  However, the Rams just managed 13 points in the 2nd half losing 72 to 50.  Joey McEvoy had 15, Jeff Evans 14 and Drew Anderson 10.  Joey also had 4 assists.  Luck Ranck had 10 rebounds and Josh Kilzer pulled down 8.  

    RHS continued its tough schedule by taking on Lexington at home.  The Rams again led at half but could not hold on losing 69 to 59.  Josh Kilzer led the Rams in scoring with 14, Roy Buettenback and Jeff Evans each had 11.  Roy also grabbed 7 rebounds.  

    In our last game before the holiday Ralston defeated Concordia at home 67 to 63.  Chaz Callum had 18, Drew Anderson, Roy Buettenback, and Luke Ranck each had 11.  Luke also pulled down 9 rebounds.  The Rams had a big third quarter as they outscored Concordia 22 to 9.

    The Rams are 3 and 3 on the season and will travel to Nebraska City on 12/27 for a holiday tournament game vs Louisville....game time is 515pm.
