    McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. is Asking for Your Feedback

    McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. and RPS will collect feedback from staff, students, families, and the community throughout the Superintendent Search process. 

    The online “Community Input Survey” linked above will be available on our website from November 15th-22nd.  
    It will allow any user to provide anonymous input on the skills and traits the next superintendent needs to possess, and highlight the positives of the Ralston community and school district. 

    The survey is in English and Spanish. 

    Listed below are the questions that will be asked at the “Community Input Forum” and in the online “Community Input Survey.”

    1) Tell us the good things about the community of Ralston.

    2) Tell us the good things about Ralston Public Schools.

    3) What are the skills, characteristics, and traits you’re looking for in the next superintendent?

    4) What are any topics the new superintendent should be aware of so they can get off to a great start?

    Skills and Characteristics
    At the Board meeting held on Thursday, October 27th, RPS Board members discussed the skills and characteristics they are looking for in the next superintendent.

    The discussion led to the following criteria listed below. 

    · A resilient, visionary leader who understands the culture and educational needs of our diverse student population and the community

    · A community leader who is open-minded with a high level of integrity and able to collaborate with all stakeholders to build and maintain trust

    · Strategic budgeting skills that build upon our long history of fiscal responsibility

    · An innovative, inspirational, and data-driven instructional leader who can help us enhance and advance educational excellence from Early Childhood to College/Career Ready Programming

    Key Dates 

    Below are some key dates for the Superintendent Search:

    · Application deadline - December 7th

    · Finalists selected - December 21st

    · Interviews conducted - January 4th and 5th

    · New hire to be made official by January 13th

    · New hire to begin work on/about July 1st
