Dr. Cecilia Wilken

Dr. Cecilia Wilken considers it an honor and privilege to serve the students, families, and community of Ralston.  In her work as Assistant Superintendent for Learning, she oversees the teaching and learning department.  Dr. Wilken believes that leadership is critical to the success of students in their educational experience.  Through partnerships with students, staff, families, and the community, we can grow and develop graduates who are ready for the future.

Dr. Cecilia Wilken graduated from University of Iowa in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education.  Since then, she has continued to study and pursue additional degrees, including a Masters degree in Special Populations at University of Nebraska Omaha, and Educational Leadership at Creighton University.  Most recently, Dr. Wilken graduated from University of Nebraska Omaha's doctoral program with her Ed.D. in Educational Administration.

Dr. Cecilia Wilken joined Ralston Public Schools in 2012, serving in different roles throughout her time at Ralston.  She has served as the Director of Teaching and Learning, Director of Elementary Education, and as a principal at both Mockingbird Elementary and Karen Western Elementary.  Prior to joining Ralston, Cecilia served as a school and district instructional coach, as well as a kindergarten to sixth-grade resource teacher.  Through each of these roles, Cecilia has enjoyed seeing the impact that educators can have when partnering with students and their families.
