Mrs. Jesse Tvrdy

As Ralston High School’s Principal, Mrs. Tvrdy provides leadership, management and supervisory skills that promote learning for each student.  Mrs. Tvrdy is responsible for living a mission, vision, and beliefs focused on results, leading and managing systems change, improving teaching and learning, building and maintaining collaborative relationships, leading with integrity and professionalism, and creating and sustaining a culture of high expectations.

Mrs. Tvrdy joined the staff at Ralston High School in 2017 as principal. Prior to her work as principal at Ralston High School, Mrs. Tvrdy was a teacher in Los Angeles and Perris, California.  Mrs. Tvrdy worked as a Dean of students at Santee Educational Complex in Los Angeles before being accepted into the New Leaders for New Schools Urban School Principal Preparation Program. After completing the NLNS program Mrs. Tvrdy was appointed to a principal residency at Leadership High School in East Oakland, California.  Mrs. Tvrdy moved back to the Midwest after her residency and worked as a high school administrator for eight years in Iowa before starting her journey in Ralston.

Mrs. Tvrdy chose to work in educational leadership because of her diverse experiences in urban education. Mrs. Tvrdy has a passion to drive change in public education that supports all students by orchestrating a complex, dynamic, and collaborative learning community each and every day, where students and student learning are always the central focus.
