Early Childhood Special Education Services

Ralston Public Schools provides a continuum of services for Ralston resident students from birth through age 5. Ralston offers services based on a child’s individual needs and goals, through home-based services, small groups, or early childhood special education in a pre-kindergarten like setting.


Birth to age 3:

If you are a parent or a physician and wish to refer a child for a developmental screening or evaluation, please call the Early Development Network at 1-800-593-3198 or 402-597-4936. The Service Coordinator will help you through the process alongside Ralston Public Schools providers.


Age 3 to 5:

If you are a parent or a physician and wish to refer a child for a developmental screening or evaluation, please call Ralston Public Schools at 402-331-4700 and speak with our Student Services Secretary.

Ralston Public Schools complies with federal and state Child Find rules and regulations. Child Find applies to all children residing within the school district boundaries, including children who attend private schools, home school, highly mobile children, migrant children, homeless children and children who are wards of the state (20 U.S.C 1412 (a) (3).
