• Mrs. Mindy Podraza and Mrs. Lynn Behounek are co-nominated in the junior division for the National History Day Patricia Behring Teacher of the Year Award. Mrs. Podraza and Mrs. Behounek are teachers who demonstrate a commitment to engaging students in historical learning through the innovative use of primary sources, implementation of active learning strategies to foster historical thinking skills, and participation in the National History Day Contest.
National History Day Students Qualify for Nationals
Congrats to the Ralston Middle School National History Day team! Two projects have advanced to the National Competition in June. Our sponsors have also been nominated for the National History Day Patricia Behring Teacher of the Year Award. Amazing!!
• 1st Place Individual Exhibit- Brody Michalski, "Spanish Flu and the Deadly Suppression of Free Speech"
• 1st Place Group Exhibit- John (Jay)Fugate, Avery Stephens, "Wet vs. Dry: A Debate over Prohibition"
